Executive Bios - Martin Rinck
Martin Rinck is executive vice president and global head of the Luxury & Lifestyle Group at Hilton where he oversees a portfolio of more than 150 hotels, trading and under development, across Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Canopy by Hilton.
In his role, Rinck drives Hilton’s leadership in the luxury and lifestyle industries, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for guests and increased return for owners.
Prior to leading Hilton’s Luxury & Lifestyle Group, Rinck oversaw the company’s business in Asia Pacific as area president and oversaw a 500% increase in the region’s hotel supply and pipeline during his nearly 10-year tenure.
Rinck joined Hilton in November 2008 from Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group where he served as president and managing director – Asia Pacific, and executive vice president and chief development officer EMEA. During his time with CRHG, Rinck drove significant unit growth for the company’s portfolio and was instrumental in the public listing of the company at the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Rinck’s extensive industry experience also includes working as chief executive officer for Mövenpick Gastronomy International in Switzerland, InterContinental Hotels Group in Europe and the U.S, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Indonesia.
Born in Hamburg, Rinck holds a MBA from Brunel University and is married with two daughters. He has a passion for travel, loves good food and wine and is an active long-distance runner, skier and mountain biker.
