Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Launches Le Diwan Lounge
Ras Al Kaimah’s landmark hotel has launched a new authentic shisha lounge where guests are invited to discover Arabian culture and cuisine through an all-new concept
RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE. - This August, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah announces a new addition to the current choice of dining venues. The new indoor outlet is scheduled to offer a new level of personalized service with a local touch to the iconic brand.
Le Diwan, an Arabesque lounge dedicated to traditional shisha and Arabic cuisine, will offer a delectable variety of mezzeh, Arabic juices and hot beverages. The new outlet is set within the luxurious surrounds of Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and is located directly above the iconic lobby lounge, Peacock Alley. Le Diwan boasts a fully air-conditioned and ventilated venue with views out towards the grand chandeliers and marble fountain, designed by Gill Wilson.
A thoughtful fusion of Arabic culture with a New York cigar concept, Le Diwan pays tribute to Waldorf Astoria's American heritage, linking to the original Waldorf Astoria New York property. With an aim to bring to together the contemporary and the classic, Le Diwan will serve up authentic Arabic cuisine and shisha alongside live Arabic league sports games, popular TV shows and complimentary games, such as backgammon.
Commenting, Orsolya Meszaros, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Director of Food and Beverage, said: "The concept aim of Le Diwan is to diversify the current dining offers available at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khiamah and to connect with the local culture. We will launch various promotions on a monthly basis and adapt the venues offers to fit the latest trends and wishes of our guests. The inspiration for Le Diwan comes predominantly from guest demand, where we noticed that guests were asking for an indoor venue to enjoy shisha."
An exciting new concept for Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, Le Diwan is set to be a popular new addition to the already established choice of restaurants and bars.
