The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Announces Annual Teddy Bear Tea Will Benefit Local Veteran Community
Attendees to the annual holiday tradition will receive a special 125th Anniversary Commemorative Teddy Bear, $1 of each ticket to benefit Bastion Community of Resilience
NEW ORLEANS - Topping the list of the best holiday traditions and decorations to experience in New Orleans and the U.S., The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel is proud to announce the dates for its annual holiday Teddy Bear Tea, beginning November 25 through to December 24, 2018. As part of the hotel’s long tradition to celebrate the holiday season with decorations, Santa and festive affairs, this year’s Teddy Bear Tea promises to be extra special as The Roosevelt marks its 125th anniversary. The historic building first opened its doors in 1893. To celebrate this momentous milestone, The Roosevelt is giving back to the community by donating a portion of the proceeds of this year’s Teddy Bear Tea to a local non-profit, Bastion Community of Resilience.
This enchanting holiday tea party presents delicious celebratory food, specialty teas and tasty pastries, as well as sparkling wine and mimosas for adults. During the event, pictures with Santa will be available for purchase, Mrs. Claus will share some of her favorite holiday stories and special North Pole visitors will parade through the ballroom, visiting with children.
As is tradition, each attendee will be gifted a Roosevelt Teddy Bear as a keepsake. The adored Roosevelt Teddy Bear has been collected by guests of all ages and symbolizes the priceless memories of a true New Orleans holiday tradition. This year, $1 from every ticket sold will go towards Bastion Community of Resilience, an intentional community in New Orleans’ Gentilly neighborhood where wounded, ill or injured veterans live alongside retired military and civilian volunteers. The Bastion approach restores families, integrates returning warriors into their communities, reduces stress at home and expands social networks to strengthen resilience. Additionally, The Roosevelt has invited the many children who reside at Bastion and their parents to attend a special Teddy Bear Tea free of charge.
General reserved seating is priced at $52.00 for children ages 3-10 and $72.00 for all older than 11, including adults. Limited VIP reserved seating includes Roosevelt champagne flutes for adults, one commemorative photo per family and premium seating near the stage. The VIP seating is available for $79.00 for children ages 3-10 and $99.00 for all older than 11, including adults. For those interested in the ultimate Teddy Bear Tea experience, The Roosevelt New Orleans offers the Golden Table package, which provides premier front and center seating by the stage for 10 people, enhanced food and champagne and keepsakes for children and adults. In addition, Santa and all of his holiday characters will personally visit with the table and sign holiday books for the children. Pricing for this exclusive package is $1,500 per table.
