Executive Bio - Leonard Gooz
Leonard serves as Global Brand Head of Home2 Suites by Hilton. In this role, he is responsible for global brand strategy, portfolio-wide execution, customer experience, net unit growth, and the overall financial and commercial performance of the brand.
Leonard moves to his new role from his position as Vice President of Customer Experience and Innovation (CE&I). As CE&I leader, he was responsible for the function that led brand prototype and product development, food & beverage, brand innovation, brand service delivery, communications, and events for Hilton’s Suites and Focused Service brands.
Prior to joining Hilton in 2016 as Senior Director, Global Brand Services and Innovation/Owner Relations, Leonard served as the Market Leader at Ernst & Young (EY) where he led go to market strategy, quality and execution in EY’s Mid-Atlantic market. Prior to EY, Leonard was a Senior Managing Consultant and Partner with Gallup, he led client engagements with Fortune 500 organizations, including Hilton. His insights have guided organizations in enhancing internal systems, processes, and produced top industry benchmarks in customer loyalty and related earnings growth.
Leonard’s early career days also include five years working in a number of on-property hotel roles including housekeeping, engineering, front desk, and on-property management roles.
Leonard’s studies include an M.B.A. from American University’s Kogod School of Business in Washington D.C., Asset Management from Cornell University, and a B.A. from Dordt College, IA, in Political Science.
Leonard, his wife, Andrea, their daughter Gisele, and son Alexander, reside in Annapolis, MD. In addition to his professional duties, Leonard also serves on the advisory board of the Kogod School of Business at American University and is an active member and sponsor of the Kidstown Organization, a non-profit that operates orphanages across India, Nepal, and Romania.
