Towa Golf Club At Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Welcomes 2015 Season With Refreshed Golf Experience Following Course Improvements
Renovations Focused On Ease-of-Play at Resort Golf Courses at Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder
SANTA FE, N.M. - Towa Golf Club at Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder is welcoming the 2015 golf season with a refreshed golf experience on its three, nine-hole courses following renovations and course improvements completed last year.
The golf club nestled in Northern New Mexico's Pojoaque Valley just minutes from downtown Santa Fe offers the capital city's only resort golf course. Boasting stunning scenery and dramatic elevation changes, Towa Golf Club now offers a refreshed golf experience focused on ease-of-play following the completion of several course renovations and improvements last year.
The scope of the course renovations included renovating or rebuilding all bunkers, and removing more than 25 bunkers from the course. While maintaining the integrity of the golf course architecture, bunker improvements and rebuilds included raising the bunker floors and adding grass to select bunkers to allow for a more player-friendly golf experience.
Opened in 2001 and designed by twenty-time PGA titlist Hale Irwin and noted golf course designer and landscape architect William Phillips, Towa Golf Club offers three distinct courses. They include The Boulder Nine, which measures 3,640 yards from the back tees and features the only island green in New Mexico; The Piñon Nine, the Irwin-designed course measuring 3,615 yards; and The Valley Nine which opened in 2009 and is an Irwin design that measures 3,575 yards. Taking advantage of the natural topography, unique rock formations and natural vegetation indigenous to the region, each course provides excellent separation of the individual holes with elevation changes that keep golfers on their toes.
To celebrate the new golf season and refreshed golf experience, Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder and Towa Golf Club are offering a "Golf Stay and Play Package" with rates from $99 per person. The package includes an overnight stay at the resort and round of golf, including golf cart. The package is available for stays beginning April 15, 2015 and can be booked online at http://www.buffalothunderresort.com/santa-fe-vacation-packages.
