From Brunch in the Gold Coast Ballroom to Dinner in the Cape Cod, The Drake is the Ideal Setting to Rejoice in Easter Feasts
CHICAGO - Come Sunday, March 27, 2016, the grand dame of Easter brunches in the Gold Coast neighborhood will be held in Chicago's opulent Gold Coast Ballroom at The Drake Hotel. Beyond brunch, dinner will be served with the finest of Easter fare in the charming New England-style Cape Cod dining room.
Residing where the Magnificent Mile begins along the S curve of Lake Shore Drive, the iconic hotel is the ideal location to rejoice in an Easter brunch or dinner, whether walking from the nearby cathedrals or driving from the suburbs.
Gold Coast Ballroom Brunch
One of the most magnificent ballrooms to brunch in Chicago is the Gold Coast at The Drake. Spanning 7,000-square-feet with 20-foot floor-to-ceiling views of the park, beach, and lakefront, the ballroom will be filled with the perfume of soaring florals, flowing sparkling wine, colossal ice sculptures, hot carving and chilled seafood stations, the fresh baked deserts and the lively jazz sounds of the Steve Biossat Trio. For children, the playroom will be a wonderland of movies and balloon, caricature, face painter artists as well as a visit from the Easter bunny leading the little ones on an egg hunt. To capture these memories, the BorterWagner Photography agency will be taking family portraits available for purchase. Seating times commence at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., with seatings are every 30 minutes. Once seated, guests can relish in the international culinary teams' lavish buffet, which will celebrate the season by combining the best sweet and savory of both breakfast and lunch. Reservations can be made by calling +1 312 932 4305 or Miranda.firstname.lastname@example.org. Pricing is $109 per adult, $30 for children 6 and over, while children 5 and under dine for free). Additional fees include taxes and gratuities and four hour valet parking for $14.
"All year-round, but especially during the holiday seasons, we treasure our guests who return to The Drake year-after-year, to be part of our culinary traditions and to create new traditions with their families and friends," said Herve Cuyeu, French executive chef, The Drake Hotel.
Cape Cod Dining Room
The famed first national seafood themed restaurant in the nation, opened in 1933 during the Century of Progress and remains a fixture in Chicago's restaurant scene today.
