The Beverly Hilton Celebrates 60 Years With “Diamond” Anniversary Party
Red Carpet Anniversary Celebration Hosted by Neil Lane, Jeweler Designer to the Stars, at Famed Aqua Star Pool
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Today, The Beverly Hilton celebrates its 60th "diamond" anniversary by throwing an exclusive red carpet event in partnership with Hollywood's most iconic jeweler, Neil Lane. Since opening in 1955, The Beverly Hilton has been home of the Golden Globe® Awards a total of 45 times and played host to thousands of red carpet events. A modern throwback to The Beverly Hilton's much lauded opening with Conrad Hilton 1955, Neil Lane will showcase a dazzling retrospective of jewels worn by Hollywood royalty from Ginger Rogers to Angelina Jolie, at events such as the Golden Globe® Awards, Oscars®, GRAMMY Awards® and more. GRAMMY-nominated artist Gavin DeGraw will perform along with celebrity DJ Michelle Pesce and a special performance by the Aqualillies will round out the star-studded evening.
"We are very proud to be celebrating 60 amazing years serving the Beverly Hills community," said Beny Alagem, owner, The Beverly Hilton. "This is an exciting year and significant milestone for The Beverly Hilton as we celebrate a rich past and look forward to the next 60 years, including the opening of Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in 2017."
The Beverly Hilton set the stage as the most modern hotel in 1955, unveiling never-beforeseen technology such as high speed elevators and air-conditioning thermostats in each room. The Aqua Star pool was christened by the iconic swimmer and actress Esther Williams and is still the largest in Beverly Hills today. With 569 glamorous rooms at the crossroads of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, the hotel continues to be a trendsetter, rolling out the red carpet more than 200 times a year and boasting the famed International Ballroom that has hosted high wattage events from the Milken Institute's Global Conference to the Oscars® Nominee Luncheon.
"It is an honor to host the diamond celebration of The Beverly Hilton," said Neil Lane. "We celebrate this historic evening with historic jewels that pay homage to the stunning Hollywood glamour that has been on display at this historic venue over the past 60 years."
As a part of the diamond anniversary celebration, The Beverly Hilton continues its long tradition of giving back to the community by supporting The Art of Elysium, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children in Los Angeles.
Iconic Beverly Hills brands such as Smashbox Studios, Sprinkles and Sugarfina will help set the stage inside the party, concepted by event designer Tom Ford, who is responsible for envisioning many of Hollywood's most glamorous events.
