Josu Sedano-Martin: Executive Chef, Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort, Cabo Verde
CABO VERDE - Josu Sedano-Martin was appointed Executive Chef of the 241-room Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort in March 2017. He is responsible for the smooth set up of all the hotel's dining outlets from the pre-opening stages. One of his main strategic aims is to promote Cabo Verdean cuisine by making the most of the islands' products and the talent of young local chefs.
Josu has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He held Executive Chef positions with InterContinental and Leading Hotels of the World in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
He joined Hilton in 2013 and took on Executive Chef roles at several Hilton hotels in the Africa and Indian Ocean region, namely Hilton Malabo, Bioko Island and the exclusive Hilton Labriz Resort & Spa in Silhouette Island, Seychelles.
Josu is a graduate of the Basque Culinary Academy with further studies in Hospitality Management with Cornell University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Gastronomy with ESHS - University of Zaragoza.

A Spanish citizen, Josu is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese.
