Hilton Woodcliff Lake Recognized By U.S. Green Building Council
Best of Buildings -- Best New Green Product
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. - Hilton Woodcliff Lake, located in northern Bergen County, New Jersey has been honored by the U.S. Green Building Council with the Best of Buildings -- Best New Green Product award.
"Hilton Worldwide remains a leader in sustainability within the hospitality industry and our purchasing decisions reflect our hotel's commitment to that effort," said Brian Curiale, general manager, Hilton Woodcliff Lake. "Our hotel requires that any newly submitted contracted project contain a 'green' option. With the introduction of this very sustainable product into our maintenance system, our hotel has taken another step toward responsible waste management."
The EcoBionics Bio-amp was installed into the hotel's kitchen drainage system in late 2014 as an alternative to harsh chemical drain treatments. The Bio-amp uses sustainable technology to reduce the buildup of waste generated from food production, processing and preparation into a more environmentally friendly end product via a naturally occurring process. As a member of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio, Hilton Woodcliff Lake supports the company's newest service program, Repurpose: Making Waste History for our Business and Society and is dedicated to utilizing green alternatives.
Hilton Woodcliff Lake utilizes Hilton's "LightStay", a proprietary system that analyzes and reports sustainability performance. As a result, many eco-friendly initiatives have been implemented in the areas of conservation, waste reduction, resource conservation and energy efficiency in the hotel's daily operations.
