Hilton Tel Aviv has inaugurated its renovated lobby terrace overlooking the sea, with a tasting menu marking the Israel’s 70th independence
A renewed lobby terrace, overlooking the Mediterranean, was inaugurated today at the Hilton Tel Aviv Hotel. With an area of 1000 square meters, the outdoor terrace is an extension of the Lobby Restaurant and Bar, with modern wooden floor, stylish garden furniture, luxurious sofas, umbrellas and a pergola - all making the terrace contemporary and luxurious.
Both the terrace and the adjacent Lobby restaurant were designed by the renowned Turkish architect Sinan Kafadar, who designed the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem several years ago and the Grand Vista floor on the roof top floor of Hilton Tel Aviv.
“The terrace is open to both hotel guests and the general public between May and October and is the perfect venue for romantic, family gatherings and open-air business meetings”, says Hilton’s country Manager for Israel, Ronnie Fortis.
Executive Chef Rafik Jabarin offers a rich dairy menu with selected fish dishes, pastas and salads, while the talented young Pastry Chef, Idan Hadad, is in charge of the sweets - pastries and cakes. This venue also offers an alcoholic bar with a varied selection of beverages, wines and cocktails and two wine machines.
With the re-opening of the terrace, dinners are offered a special 7-course tasting menu for the occasion of the Israel’s 70th Independence. Chef Rafik Jabarin focused on kosher cuisine, which is suitable for a dairy kitchen and created the following menu
- Homemade Buns with Dips
- Yogurt with Crushed Tomato / Olive Oil with Garlic Confit / Zucchini Spread with Labneh Cheese
- Jerusalem Style Fish Tartar with Tahini, Goat’s Yogurt, Sumac & mint
- Eggplant caviar, Hame’iri local cheese & Eggplant French fries
- Grey Mullet Shawarma on a Toasted Pita Bread, Tahini Msabbaha & Spicy Tomato Salsa
- Tabule Salad with Falafel & Labneh Cheese with Za’atar
- Fish and Eggplant Seniya with Tomato Sauce
- Knafeh with Citrus syrup
Price: 253 NIS. Chef Jabarin recommends couple to share the menu and enjoy the view, mainly at sunset.
Two cocktails were specially prepared to celebrate the 70th anniversary: the Independence Cocktail with vodka, lemon, lime, ginger, birr, apricot syrup and almond syrup (63 NIS) and the second: 70 grated margaritas, Pomegranate juice and watermelon syrup (63 NIS).
The Lobby terrace is open to the public every weekday from 7 am to 2:30 am. On weekends and holidays the menu is limited.
