Hilton Québec to Undergo Complete Renovation in 2020
Renovation will be one of the largest investments in a single hotel in Canadian history
QUEBEC CITY - Hilton Québec, owned by InnVest Hotels and managed by Hilton Management Services, announced today that the property will undergo a complete transformation that will touch all aspects of its appearance, including the exterior of the building, hotel infrastructure, guest rooms and all public areas. The renovation, which will take place in 2020, will result in one of the largest investments ever made into a single hotel in Canadian history.
The renovation includes a completely new exterior to the building, new windows, a massive upgrade of the hotel's infrastructure systems and the complete renovation of the hotel's interior spaces – guest rooms and bathrooms, meeting spaces, ballroom and all public areas, such as the lobby, restaurants, fitness center and pool.
Given the magnitude and disruptive nature of the project, the hotel will be closing
January 1rst, 2020, and reopening late 2020.
“When the renovation of Hilton Québec is complete, its central location, soaring conference facilities and panoramic views will position the hotel at the epicenter of commerce, culture and leisure and define the new standard by which hotels and memories will be measured in Québec City,” said Nicholas Lakas, vice president – Asset Management, InnVest Hotels. “We are thrilled to invest in the great employees, the great environment, the great people and the great province of Québec.”
Located in North America’s oldest city, Hilton Québec is a thriving landmark within the downtown core that is connected to the convention centre and steps away from historical Old Québec. The hotel is the second largest in the city with 571 guestrooms and suites.
“Through smart, flexible design, the hotel will offer locally inspired guest rooms and public space environments that accommodate the many different needs of the modern day traveler while delivering a quintessential Québécois experience,” said Jean-Francois Lincourt, general manager, Hilton Québec. “Hilton Québec City will reopen as a brand new hotel, building on the hotel’s spectacular service reputation and historical surroundings to deliver a modern, sophisticated expression of luxury.”
