Hilton Jaipur Presents A Special Rajasthani Food Festival At Aurum All-Day Global Cuisine Restaurant
Savour the best of Rajasthani cuisine while revelling in live folk dance and music performances
JAIPUR, India - Hilton Jaipur today announced a Rajasthani Food Festival at Aurum, the stylish gold and copper-themed all-day global cuisine restaurant. Starting February 27 until March 8, 2015, guests at Aurum will be able to savour the best of Rajasthani dishes prepared by Chef Hemendra Dubey assisted by a Maharaj from Jodhpur. Through this 10-day festival, guests will also be able to enjoy a range of live folk dance and music performances by local artists. Priced at Rs 1,499 plus taxes per person, the Rajasthani Food Festival will be available as part of the dinner buffet, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm daily.
Chef Dubey, with a decade of experience in preparing fine regional cuisine of Rajasthan, has meticulously crafted the menu of the festival in an endeavour to titillate discerning guests' palates with diverse dishes from across the state. The festival menu will present delicacies like Gular Kebabs - spicy kebabs made from raw banana, saffron and Bengal gram; Jhinga Jaisalmeri - fresh prawns marinated in curd and Rajasthani chillies grilled to perfection; Murg Shekhawati - tender chicken legs prepared in a rich gravy of almond and cashew nut; Khair aur Dakh ki Sabji - a combination of wild berries and raisins prepared with yogurt and masalas ; Ram Khichidi - a delicious preparation of rice and lentil with dry fruit; and Rajasthani Dana Methi ki Sabji - a traditional preparation with fenugreek seeds, dried fruit and jaggery. Breads will include Bajre ki Roti, Tikkad and Makkai ki Roti.
The festival will also feature a live 'Baati and Choorma' counter that will serve over eight variations of baati ranging from plain to spicy, and with a choice of stuffing. The special Rajasthani Thali will include a delightful combination of curries, pickles, poppadum, special breads and desserts.
Desserts will include traditional specialities from Jodhpur such as Gond Pak - gond roasted with whole wheat flour and reduced milk, coconut and black pepper topped with dried nuts; Mawe ki Kachori - deep fried pastry filled with reduced milk and nuts, steeped in sugar syrup; and Baked Boondi - sweetened gram flour dumplings topped with rabdi and baked.
