Prestigious Global Hospitality Group Hilton Arrives in Geneva

Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre offers 496 guest rooms/suites and convenient access to Geneva International Airport

GENEVA - Today, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre opens its doors to guests. The 496-room hotel, located in Geneva, is the latest addition to the growing Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio, one of Hilton’s (NYSE: HLT) 18 market-leading brands.

Located just a short walk from the airport and ten minutes from the city centre, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre is Hilton’s largest hotel in Switzerland. With a gourmet offer focused on local terroir cuisine, as well as an over 2,300sqm wellness and fitness area, this world-class hotel has everything it takes to appeal to both business and private clients.

Ideally located ten minutes from the city centre and close to the airport, Palexpo exhibition centre, as well as the Arena concert hall, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre has a wealth of options to appeal to both locals and travellers passing through the city. With its 496 rooms and suites, complete with balconies, 37 seminar rooms offering a total surface area of 5,500sqm, along with Business Suites combining the comfort of a classic room with an adjoining meeting room, the hotel has been specially designed to host events of all sizes. Its largest, pillar-free room can accommodate up to 1,200 people. However, this capacity is currently reduced to 750 people in order to respect the prevailing social distancing measures.

An oasis at the gates of Geneva

With its two Olivo and Terra restaurants open from 12pm to 11pm, a fully equipped bar, and a dedicated wellness and fitness area, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre has what it takes to attract locals. During the summer months, Olivo's outdoor terrace is an invitation to enjoy a change of scenery. Whether for a business lunch or leisurely dinner, it welcomes guests in a serene environment, overlooked by an olive tree and to the soothing sound of a water feature running through its entire length. It is here that the chef has installed his aromatic herbarium, from which he extracts plants for use in his authentic culinary creations.

As an ambassador of Geneva's terroir, the hotel is committed to using locally sourced products, mainly from within a 200km radius. Traceability, an ecological approach and the reduction of food waste are the core values promoted by Hilton as part of its global Travel with Purpose strategy to drive responsible travel and tourism.

“Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre is an important addition to Hilton’s portfolio – Geneva is a major global financial centre and a truly international city, home to the United Nations,” said Simon Vincent, EVP and President, EMEA, Hilton. “The hotel will provide a great base for guests in a coveted city centre location and we look forward to welcoming visitors to our newest hotel in Switzerland.”

A wide range of fitness and wellness facilities

The hotel’s spacious 800sqm wellness area notably comprises a sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi and Geneva’s largest hotel indoor swimming pool. Heated to 28°C, it regularly hosts swimming and aqua bike classes. Spread across 1,500sqm, the LivingWell fitness centre, equipped with around 50 Technogym machines, a cross-training area, a weight-training platform, as well as a sauna, a steam room and a rest area, is another undeniable attraction. Accessible to the public, it is open from 6am to 10pm and – in addition to free parking for 2.5 hours – offers several group classes and the possibility of signing up for training sessions supervised by a professional sports coach. Developed in accordance with local authority guidelines, the wellness area, fitness centre, and their programmes comply with the highest standards of safety and hygiene, with equipment regularly disinfected and safe distances maintained between guests and trainers at all times.

Geneva's unique Executive Lounge

In addition, Hilton Honors members, as well as guests staying in an Executive Room, will now be able to enjoy Geneva's one and only Executive Lounge. This warm and friendly living space is located on the ground floor of the hotel and features high-speed WiFi and refreshments throughout the day. From à la carte breakfasts to happy hour and its famous sofas, the Executive Lounge offers a great place to work and network.

Providing assurance and peace-of-mind

The safety and wellbeing of guests and Team Members continues to be Hilton’s top priority. To provide guests with assurance and peace of mind, Hilton recently rolled out two cleanliness programmes – Hilton CleanStay and Hilton EventReady with CleanStay, building on the global hospitality group’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in all of its 6,200 locations around the world.  Developed in collaboration with RB, maker of Dettol and Lysol, new standards that form part of Hilton CleanStay include a dedicated Room Seal to indicate that a room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, increased frequency of cleaning of all public areas, and flexible housekeeping options.

Shaped by extensive research and feedback, Hilton EventReady with CleanStay is a global, industry-leading cleanliness and customer service programme specific to meetings and events. The tenets of the programme include enhanced cleanliness protocols – addressing every touchpoint of the meeting experience, flexible pricing and space options, as well as safe and socially responsible solutions.
