Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa And DoubleTree Resort By Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island Announce Martin Rogers As Fiji Cluster General Manager
NADI, Fiji Islands - Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island welcome Martin Rogers as Fiji cluster general manager.
Paul Hutton, vice president operations, Australasia, Hilton Worldwide, said, "Martin Rogers assumes this position having most recently held the role of cluster general manager for Hainan North, China, which included five openings for Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton hotels."
"With almost 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Martin joined China in 2013 and successfully opened Hilton Haikou Meilan, which received the Opening Hotel of the Year Award in 2014 for hotels in the Hilton portfolio in China."
Prior to this, Rogers opened Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort in Egypt, and during his tenure, the hotel became well-recognized within Hilton Worldwide's Middle East and Africa portfolio. Rogers has held a number of positions as cluster general manager and general manager in Egypt and the United Kingdom. Before joining the hospitality industry, he gained unique and diverse experience in the military, manufacturing and accounting industries.
In his new role, Rogers will oversee Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa that will open its second stage in 2016, encompassing 120 villas, a spacious event space and exciting new concept restaurant. This year will also see the opening of the flagship DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island, a 120-room resort property on Sonaisali Island.
Rogers is excited by the opportunity to experience the unique Fijian lifestyle and believes Fiji will continue to see strong growth as a leisure and event destination.
