Garden 79 Restaurant & Bar Welcomes Winter
Hilton Garden Inn Budapest City Centre’s restaurant reveals new menu for the winter season
BUDAPEST, Hungary - The recently opened Hilton Garden Inn Budapest City Centre’s Garden 79 Restaurant & Bar introduced its new menu for the winter season to press today. Made from the finest and freshest local ingredients, the winter dishes provide the perfect taste for the cold months in the heart of Budapest.
Garden 79 Restaurant & Bar, located next to one of the hotel’s secret gardens, offers mouth-watering Hungarian and international favourites with a modern twist. Executive Chef Balázs Hegyi and his team provide a unique culinary experience made from the highest-quality ingredients, served with a fine selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails.
The restaurant’s new menu offers a variety of choices for every palate: vegetarians can enjoy several dishes, from the cream of pumpkin soup to beetroot risotto and mushroom paprikash with spinach, gnocchi and sour cream. Those craving flavours of the Hungarian countryside can appease their hunger with pan-fried trout or an onion roast beef with gravy, roasted potatoes and pickled cucumber.
Along with the winter menu, guests can taste the restaurant’s new wine selection from the Csali Vineyards: among others, the full-bodied and still fruity “Rókalikak” Cabernet Sauvignon and a rare gift of nature, the winery’s ice-wine. Besides classic cocktails such as Hilton’s innovate Pina Colada, the new Rosemary Gin Crush will evoke the atmosphere of the upcoming festive season.
Balázs Hegyi, Executive Chef of Hilton Garden Inn Budapest City Centre emphasized: “We are very excited to introduce our winter dishes, which are made from the best locally sourced ingredients. When creating the menu, I was inspired by my childhood favourites, including the beef bouillon with semolina dumplings and the roasted duck breast. From the feedback we’ve received from our guests over the last few months, they are looking for these traditional Hungarian flavours too. I hope that these dishes can bring warmth to our guests after a long day of strolling on the streets of Budapest or in the busy Christmas markets.”
The winter menu and drinks are available to be enjoyed from today onwards.
