Hilton Sofia Announces Christoph Glaser As New General Manager
SOFIA, Bulgaria - Hilton Sofia has announced hospitality professional Christoph Glaser as the new general manager of the hotel. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Glaser joins Hilton Sofia having previously held the position of general manager at Hilton Bonn. Glaser replaces Stephan Reiter, who, after four and a half years at Hilton Sofia, took over the opening of Hilton Astana in Kazakhstan.
In his role as general manager, Glaser will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the flagship Hilton hotel in the Bulgarian capital, which offers 245 spacious rooms on eight floors, including top Executive Floors, 17 suites and considerable meeting and event facilities.
Prior to joining the team at Hilton Sofia, Glaser was general manager at Hilton Bonn. Glaser introduced two new restaurant concepts during his tenure - one grill and steak and the other a market style. From 2010 until 2012, Glaser held the position of director of operations at Hilton Munich Park, whilst having held various operations management positions at Hilton Zurich Airport, Hilton Munich City and Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
Born in South Germany, Christoph Glaser began his illustrious career in the hospitality industry as a waiter at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. He is a winter sports enthusiast and seasoned traveler, keen on exploring Sofia and the landmarks of Bulgaria.
