Hilton Property Joins Global Environmental Movement
MILTON KEYNES, UK - Hilton Milton Keynes celebrated Earth Hour 2017 from 8:30p.m.-9:30p.m. on Saturday, March 25. The hotel is taking action locally to conserve energy and raise awareness of climate change, joining a global initiative that is open to Hilton's more than 4,900 properties across 104 countries and territories.
Team members and guests at Hilton Milton Keynes celebrated Earth Hour and Earth Week through the following activities:
- Guests were informed about Earth Hour upon check-in and through letters left in guest rooms
- Information about Earth Hour was displayed in the lobby
- An Earth Hour quiz was given to every child at the hotel together with a glow in the dark stick
- A sustainable and healthy, Earth Hour themed menu was made available at New Horizons Lounge & Bar
- All lights in public areas, bar and restaurant were dimmed
- The bar was decorated with glow in the dark sticks
- Team members from different departments worked together to create a herb garden at the back of the hotel. They planted a walnut tree in recognition of the local area along with oregano, thyme and rosemary.
