Hilton Malta - In celebration of Hilton Worldwide’s annual Global Month of Service, throughout October, 110 volunteers from Hilton Malta have refurbished a crafts and pottery room used by Children and Adults using the services of the Inspire Foundation. The Inspire Foundation helps over 1000 individuals with various disabilities ranging from Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. They do this through many services and disability programmes that are offered at a highly subsidised rate and in some cases free of charge.

Hilton Durban, hosted the inaugural Hilton Durban Golf Cup at the Durban Country Club (DCC) on Friday 23 October. The day was characterised by great golf and exceptional food, with the prize-giving dinner, being held at the recently opened Big Easy Durban by Ernie Els Winebar & Grill. The big winner of the evening, was the Els for Autism Foundation, which benefited from the proceeds of a silent auction. The R30 000 raised, will be used by the Els for Autism Foundation to support local initiatives in KwaZulu-Natal.

In celebration of Global Handwashing Day Hilton Worldwide (NYSE:HLT) and Clean the World today announced that Hilton Paris Opera is the first ever hotel in continental Europe to partner with Clean the World. Hilton Paris Opera will lead the European roll-out of Clean the World by contributing discarded soap and bottled amenities that will be recycled to benefit European citizens who are at risk for hygiene-related illnesses. As the world’s largest soap recycler, Clean the World has contributed to a 30 percent reduction in pre-adolescent deaths from hygiene-related illnesses since 2009. Hilton signed a master agreement with Clean the World earlier this year making it the organization’s largest hotel partner.
