- Wrocław (56 per cent)
According to those surveyed, the three most important factors when booking a staycation are:
- Value for money (72 per cent)
- The proximity and easy access to the places they want to visit (48 per cent)
- If they can relax and have a lazy breakfast at the hotel (36 per cent).
Tal Shefer, vice president of focused service brands, EMEA, at Hilton, said: "We are excited to continue to grow our Hampton by Hilton brand in Poland. Currently, Hampton by Hilton has five properties in popular cities across the country, including Gdansk, Kraków and Warsaw and nine new properties in the pipeline. With value for money at the top of many travellers' agenda, Hampton by Hilton offers the "Seekender" the opportunity to explore new travel experiences and incredible destinations within Poland."
The research showed that in addition to value, travellers rate their comfort as an important part of their experience, with 73 per cent of respondents preferring to stay in a hotel rather than with friends or family. The survey revealed that the Polish are loyal customers and, when satisfied, 69 per cent of respondents admitted that they would choose the same hotel when returning to a destination. Hospitality brands are becoming more aware of this loyalty and are responding to rising market demand. According to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Report 2015, the number of three-star hotels in Poland grew by 21 per cent between 2012 and 2015.
