Krasnodar to Welcome City’s First Hampton by Hilton
Hilton announces second hotel in Southern Russia’s economic and cultural hub
KRASNODAR, Russia and MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton (NSYE: HLT) today announced the signing of a franchise agreement with KESCO-Krasnodar LLC to open Hampton by Hilton Krasnodar. The hotel will be connected to the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, which opened in 2013 under the same ownership.
The 109-guestroom Hampton by Hilton Krasnador is expected to open in 2019, providing a new affordable accommodation option in the city. It will help to serve both business and leisure travellers, with facilities including a 24-hour fitness centre and a work zone.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton said: "Our Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn presence in Russia is set to more than double in the coming five years. The decision to introduce Krasnador's first Hampton by Hilton after opening Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar is symptomatic of the growing demand for economy hotels. Having recently surpassed the milestone of 50 hotels trading or under development in Russia, we are pleased to see the momentum continue, further cementing our place as the fastest growing hospitality company in the country."
Russian tourism is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, with a number of major upcoming leisure events on the horizon, such as the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The hotel will be centrally located on the junction of the city's two main streets, ulitsa Krasnaya and ulitsa Mira - within walking distance of St. Catherine's Cathedral, the Musical Theatre Premiera and Krasnodar Circus as well as many of the city's best bars and restaurants. Guests will also benefit from underground parking and ease of access to Krasnodar International Airport, which is approximately 20 kilometers away.
Vladimir Shimin, general director, KESCO-Krasnodar LLC said: "After the successful launch of Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, we are pleased to be partnering again with Hilton on our second development in Krasnodar. The two hotels will complement each other, increasing options available in the city and allowing an enhanced guest experience."
Strategic partners, KESCO and Hilton have a strong and successful relationship, having worked together on a number of properties in Austria and elsewhere in Russia.
Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton by Hilton brand management, Hilton said: "With more than 10,000 rooms in the pipeline across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hampton by Hilton's popularity continues internationally. Here in Russia, we are seeing a rise in the value-conscious and quality-driven traveller and with plans to more than double the number of Hampton by Hilton's in Russia, we are serving this growing need."
Hampton by Hilton Krasnodar will be located at 33, Mira Street, Krasnodar, Russian Federation.
