New hotel opens in the heart of Lowcountry
YEMASSEE, S.C. and MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) Hampton by Hilton brand, the global mid-priced hotel that serves value-conscious and quality-driven travelers around the world, today announced the opening of its newest property, Hampton Inn by Hilton Yemassee/Point South. The 80-room hotel joins the Hampton by Hilton family of Hampton by Hilton and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton hotels. Located at 139 Frampton Drive, the new hotel is managed by Trishul Hospitality, LLC.
Hampton Inn by Hilton Yemassee/Point South is nearby popular area attractions including the Frampton Plantation House, the Old Sheldon Church Ruins and the popular Shrimp Festival. Named after the Native American Yamasee tribe, the region was also the site of the Yemassee War of 1715. A short drive away is the Auldbrass Plantation, a historic site designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
