Executive Bio - David C. Marr
David C. Marr is senior vice president and global head for Hilton’s Full Service Brands category, overseeing the company’s flagship brand, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, as well as DoubleTree by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Hilton’s newest brand, Signia Hilton. Marr led the development and launch of this dynamic brand and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Hilton’s portfolio of full service brands.
Marr has extensive background leading development strategy, positioning, marketing, communications and owner relations in the hospitality industry. Prior to his current role, Marr spent 16 years at Starwood. He most recently served as a senior vice president and global brand leader, spearheading global revitalization efforts for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, creating and growing Tribute Portfolio, and leading the Full Service Brands and Field Marketing for their North America portfolio. Before joining Starwood, Marr spent more than a decade with Marriott International, where he held several leadership roles spanning sales, marketing and revenue management. Coming full circle, he returns to Hilton where he started his career with positions in markets including Washington, D.C., Boston and New York City at the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York.
Marr is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire's College of Business and Economics. He is based at Hilton's global headquarters in McLean, Va.
