Hilton welcomes first full-service hotel in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas - Today, DoubleTree by Hilton, Lubbock’s first full-service hotel, proudly announces its official opening. The hotel, located within walking distance to the Buddy Holly Performing Arts Center and the Civic Center, is also three miles from the UMC Health System Hospital, Covenant Health and Texas Tech University.
After extensive renovations throughout the property, the hotel welcomes guests to an entirely new space, complete with modernized lobby and public areas. In addition, the hotel offers 140 newly designed guest rooms, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites and rooms with private balconies overlooking downtown Lubbock and the Texas Tech campus.
“Every surface of the building has been touched in the ground-up remodel. It is our mission to offer a world-class hotel as a premier travel destination within the resurgent downtown Lubbock area,” said Travis Stribling, partner, DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock.
Claraboya, the restaurant and bar located inside the hotel, features regional cuisine with a Western Texas flair. “We want to offer our guests a locally sourced menu of real West Texas food served in a warm and timeless space,” said Tony Piña, executive chef, DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service and will offer guests a full bar.
DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock features over 5,000 square feet of total event space including a pillar-free ballroom, outdoor veranda and meeting rooms. Events can be coordinated and hosted with the help of the hotel’s expert planners.
