Hilton Set to Debut in Brescia
DoubleTree by Hilton Brescia is expected to open later this year
BRESCIA, Italy and MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of a franchise agreement with GDF Hotel Srl to open DoubleTree by Hilton Brescia. The 143-guest room hotel will open following the refurbishment of an existing property.
Brescia has some of the best-preserved Roman buildings in Northern Italy. The historically rich Old Town is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the renaissance Piazza della Loggia, which is a major attraction for international tourists. Corporate travellers flock to the city due to its base as a manufacturing and industrial hub. Companies such as A2A and Lucchini are based in industrial areas north of Brescia.
The hotel is ideally located for business and leisure travellers in the Mompiano neighbourhood of Brescia, only 15 minutes from the city centre via metro. The hotel also puts guest less than an hour from the famous Lake Garda and Lake Iseo, as well as the Franciacorta wine region.
Guido Della Frera, President, GdF Group, said: “Our partnership with Hilton has grown from strength to strength since opening Hilton Garden Inn Milan North four years ago and Villa Torretta Milan, Curio Collection by Hilton last year. The improvements we are making to the hotel will ensure DoubleTree by Hilton Brescia will be one of the finest hotels in the city when it opens later this year.”
GDF group currently operates five hotels in Italy and has a reputation for quality hotel developments and friendly hospitality.
As part of its improvement works, DoubleTree by Hilton Brescia will offer 300 square metres of event space, as well as a refreshed restaurant, bar and fitness and business centres.
DoubleTree by Hilton Brescia is located at Viale Europa 45, Brescia, Italy.
