Coinciding With Hilton’s 100th Anniversary, Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels in Darwin Celebrate Four Major Wins at the 2019 Hospitality NT Aristocrat Technologies Awards for Excellence
On May 27, Hilton won Best Overall Accommodation Hotel, Best Redeveloped Accommodation Hotel, Outstanding Accommodation Hotel Community Service & Achievement for DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and Hospitality Industry Rising Star Award – Metro for James Rushton-Woods from Hilton Darwin at the renowned 2019 Hospitality NT Aristocrat Technologies Awards for Excellence.
Having DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin receive the Community Service and Achievement award is testament to the hotel’s commitment and support towards the local community and environment.
To signify Hilton’s 100th Anniversary, Team Members spent last week planting 200 trees (100 trees for Hilton Hotels & Resorts and 100 trees for DoubleTree by Hilton) across the NT, and created a special garden called ‘Conrad Hilton Garden’ at Ludmilla Primary School in Darwin and DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.
Todd Grierson, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Northern Territory, said, “What a great way to celebrate Hilton’s 100th Anniversary in the NT by taking an active role in giving back to the environment and helping to promote a more sustainable future.”

Hilton Darwin’s Team Member, James Rushton-Woods also received the Hospitality Industry Rising Star of the Year award.
