DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown Prepares to Go ‘Over The Edge’ as It Hosts Exclusive After Party for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee
DoubleTree Nashville sends one of its own ‘over the edge’ of the Bank of America building
Nashville, TN USA - For the third year in a row, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is holding an “Over The Edge” urban rappelling fund-raising event on Friday, April 20, 2018.
For the first time, the “edgers” will scale down the 291 foot tall Bank of America Building in Downtown Nashville, next door to DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown.
The official drop happens at Bank of America Plaza on Friday, April 20th. Guests are welcome to watch the festivities at the “Drop Zone Party” from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a live DJ announcing the individuals coming down, along with exhibitor booths and other fun activities.
DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown will host the official invitation-only after party on their Patio 315 event space. This 8100 square-foot outdoor oasis has large lawn games, fire pits, and TV’s including a movie-sized projection screen to watch games and events.
“In our previous two years of conducting Over the Edge, our Drop Zone party was literally on the sidewalk and it was fun, but accommodations were obviously quite limited,” said Sarah Beatty, Director of Events and Communications for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. “The minute we saw the hidden oasis that is Patio 315, we knew we had made the right decision in selecting this building for Over the Edge and this destination for our After Party… our folks may never leave!” The after party will give “edgers” a chance to raise a glass to one another and give those who prefer to be on the ground a chance to meet those who helped Big Brothers Big Sisters.
In preparation for the big day, DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown Business Travel Sales Manager Vasser Knowles will be scaling down the Bank of America building in a costume reminiscent of the signature DoubleTree Chocolate Chip cookie in a special event on Thursday. "Every day I have obstacles to overcome and now this might be one of the biggest obstacles to date - going 'over the edge' for a worthy cause. I can't wait to scale the Bank of America Building as the signature DoubleTree cookie - to help bring awareness to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.” said Knowles.
