DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid – Prado Begins Welcoming Guests in the Heart of Spain’s Capital
DoubleTree by Hilton now has 100 hotels open across Europe, Middle East and Africa
MADRID and MCLEAN, Va. - DoubleTree by Hilton, one of Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) 14 market-leading brands, today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado. The upscale, boutique-style hotel marks the debut of the brand in Madrid and is the sixth DoubleTree by Hilton property in Spain, the third most visited country in the world.
DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado features 61 guest rooms and is located in Madrid's city centre, in the charming Las Letras quarter (literary quarter). The neighbourhood - which has been home to many of Spain's greatest writers - is ideal for discovering Madrid's well-known arts and culture. Visitors can explore numerous cafes, outdoor terraces and shops by walking the quarter's narrow roads and taking breaks in squares, such as the Plaza de Santa Ana.
Just 16 kilometres from Madrid Barajas International Airport and within walking distance of the Atocha and Puerta del Sol Train stations, DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado is also close to the 'Golden Triangle of Art', which comprises three of Madrid's most famous art museums: The Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza.
"Madrid is a renowned tourism destination known for its stunning art museums, rich literary history and delicious tapas-style cuisine," said Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton's collection brands. "Our first property in the city offers guests a great base to explore all that Madrid has to offer along with the thoughtful touches that make a DoubleTree by Hilton stay great, starting with our warm DoubleTree Cookie greeting upon arrival."
The new Madrid hotel offers an elevated dining experience at its all-day restaurant, Kirei by Kabuki. Started by Michelin-starred Chef Ricardo Sanz, Kabuki serves fusion food at the crossroads of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Best defined as 'casual fine dining', Kirei by Kabuki offers classic Japanese dishes, such as sushi and sashimi, as well as a range of soups, pasta and Japanese grills. In addition, the hotel features a relaxing lobby lounge and bar where guests may enjoy light bites and drinks.
"Combining the charm of a historical building with modern guest rooms, a renowned restaurant and upscale amenities, DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado will become the new benchmark for service and accommodation for guests visiting our unique city," said Amaya Guisasola, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado.
Each inviting guest room comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, a minibar, in-room safe and DoubleTree Sweet Dreams® Sleep Experience beds. Guests can also take advantage of the modern 24-hour fitness centre, the 24-hour business centre and the on-site meeting room; and those who upgrade to rooms with a terrace can also enjoy breath-taking views of the city.
In addition to the warm DoubleTree Cookie greeting, the hotel provides guests with a full complement of services and DoubleTree by Hilton brand amenities, including the Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast, an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee offerings by Nespresso and a refreshing array of Crabtree & Evelyn natural skin and body care line.
