Metro Detroit’s newest hotel opens its doors following a multimillion-dollar renovation
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomfield Hills Detroit opens near a range of restaurants, entertainment destinations and family-friendly activities after undergoing a complete, multi-year renovation. The hotel is owned by Zaid Elia, CEO and founder of The Elia Group, and Matt Shiffman, CEO of Alden Development Group, and is managed by Troy, Michigan-based company Hotel Investment Services.

The hotel has been transformed from its previous condition with several additions, including an expansive two-story atrium lobby, 12,500 square feet of meetings and events space, a new business center, superb suites and a plush lounge with custom stone materials incorporated into the design. The 144 guest rooms have also been fully renovated and feature pillow-top beds, complimentary Wi-Fi, large flat-screen HDTVs, walk-in showers, among other great amenities. Two new on-site restaurants – Zalman’s Delicatessen and The Duke Craft Cocktail Lounge – round out the space, making the new hotel the perfect one-stop shop for out-of-towners.
Zalman’s Delicatessen is a quintessential New York City-style deli serving a variety of classic plates, including smoked salmon, whitefish and house-cured lox, à la carte and full breakfast dishes, soups, market salads, deli sandwiches with fixings, dinner entrées and desserts.
Located in the lobby of DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomfield Hills Detroit, The Duke Craft Cocktail Lounge is the perfect place to gather before a night on the town or for a nightcap.
