‘Sleep Amongst Botanics’ – a botanical room take over for a sensory, summer getaway at West Hotel Sydney
A new ‘Meet the Creatives’ collaboration with Bonnie and Neil, the popular Australian design team, for a sophisticated and spirited summertime experience
SYDNEY, Australia - West Hotel Sydney, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, is offering a new-first for hotel guests – to ‘Sleep Amongst Botanics’ this summer, as part of their second Meet the Creatives collaboration, this time with Australian textile design brand, Bonnie and Neil.
Earlier this year, West Hotel launched the first of its ‘Meet the Creatives’ initiatives, partnering with two Australian fashion identities, Jack Phillips of Eight Eight, and Weave Dibden-Neck of By Weave and ukiyo-co labels for a style collaboration. Each created their own bespoke, limited edition fashion items exclusively for West Hotel, incorporating the striking white Waratah artwork seen throughout West Hotel, created by notable Australian botanical artist Heidi Willis.
This summer, West Hotel partner with popular Australian textile and homewares team, Bonnie and Neil for an enchanting in-room display that allows guest to experience a blossoming, sensory experience that welcomes in the festive summer spirit.
Bonnie and Neil ‘take over’ a West Hotel room, creating a lush, immersive experience utilising a curated selection of their hand-crafted botanical motif items. An explosion of colour and panache, it will include a mix of artwork, furniture pieces, cushions, throws and other room accents.
As part of the vibrant, highly photogenic display, an oversized floral arbour will suspend above the bed and cascade down the headboard – guests will literally ‘sleep amongst the botanics’. The floral creation has been created by floral stylists, The Hunted Yard, a dramatic centrepiece the adds the final botanical finesse to the room.
Guests will have the opportunity to ‘shop the look’ for all Bonnie and Neil items, with an exclusive West Hotel incentive code offered for any summer purchases that tickle their fancy as part of the botanical activation.
As final sensory touches, the room takeover will gift guests with luxurious, botanically-based items from Australian natural skincare brand, Biology. A diffuser will be provided in each room, should guests like to excite their smell with a light, summer-fresh natural scent from Air Aroma.
West Hotel is extending its summer spirit throughout the hotel. Complementing the botanical room-takeover, the hotel’s Solander Dining and Bar is offering a ‘Summer of Gin’ bar menu alongside its full menu. This special bar menu has been inspired by Sydney distiller, Archie Rose’s summer gin blends. Guests can choose from two new gin-based cocktails and a selection of gin-infused bar snack menu items – a casual option for those wanting a cocktail and bite to eat, before exploring nearby Barangaroo during balmy Sydney nights.
The ‘Sleep Amongst Botanics’ accommodation package is available to guests over the summer holiday period, from December 2018 to mid-January 2019. Priced from $332 per night, the package includes:
- Overnight accommodation for two in the Bonnie and Neil-styled Banksia Deluxe Room
- Full breakfast at Solander Dining for two
- Two ‘Summer of Gin’ Archie Rose cocktails and bar snack menu items at Solander Bar
- Biology Skin 2-Step “In the Buff” gift pack
