Hilton Appoints Jenna Hackett to Lead Growing Collection Brands
With a successful track record driving brand growth and performance for Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Hackett will also now oversee the upper upscale Curio Collection portfolio
MCLEAN, Va. - Today, Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announces the appointment of Jenna Hackett to a new role, leading both unique soft brands as vice president, global head, Curio and Tapestry Collections by Hilton. After guiding Tapestry Collection by Hilton through sustained growth and success over the past nearly two years, Hackett will take over Hilton’s upper upscale Curio Collection by Hilton brand, a global portfolio of handpicked, one-of-a-kind hotels, following the retirement of former global head, Mark Nogal.
As the head of Tapestry Collection, Hackett has led the brand through momentous development, building brand awareness in its segment and growing the portfolio since launching in 2017.
“Jenna is a proven leader at Hilton and, after seeing her success with Tapestry Collection, it is a natural fit for her to take the helm of Curio Collection,” said David Marr, senior vice president and global head, full-service brands. “We’re confident Jenna will take our Collection brands to new milestones.”
Hackett will continue to expand the portfolio of one-of-a-kind, independent hotels, all of which are backed by the reassurance of the Hilton name and benefits of the award-winning Hilton Honors guest loyalty program. Whether looking to experience the local culture of the neighborhood or discover the unique stories within each hotel, Hilton’s Collection brands offer independent travelers a range of options, at every step of their trip.
“After having the opportunity to work on the brand launch, I am thrilled to continue developing Curio Collection, building off the great momentum that the team has set forth,” said Hackett. “With Curio Collection celebrating its five-year milestone and Tapestry Collection beginning its development in the global market, this has been an exciting year for our brands, and I look forward to supporting the expansion of these portfolios.”
Launched in 2014, Curio Collection has served travelers seeking one-of-a-kind, curated experiences around the world, by offering handpicked hotels from downtown landmarks to local gems to grand beach resorts. In just five years, the brand has grown from launching its first property, The Highland Dallas, to now operating more than 70 hotels globally, including the new SAii Lagoon Maldives, offering guests immersive local epicurean, wellness and cultural experiences.
Following the successful launch of its first Collection brand, Hilton introduced Tapestry Collection in 2017 with Hotel Skyler Syracuse, aiming to provide travelers the chance to connect with local communities at hotels with original and vibrant style. The brand is forecasted to have nearly 30 properties in its portfolio by the end of 2019, with future plans for global development in key destinations, including Bermuda and Jamaica.
