Hotel Saranac Names Food and Beverage Operations Manager
Peter Snell Brings Experience and Familiarity to Hotel Saranac’s Culinary Team
Hotel Saranac offers different dining experiences: Campfire Adirondack Grill + Bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Great Hall Bar for lighter fare; as well as special events in the Grand Ballroom or private dining room, the Ember Room. Snell is responsible for managing F&B orders, upholding menu standards and controlling inventory for all dining operations.
Snell has deep experience in the F&B industry, most recently as Territory Manager for U.S. Foods in Albany, N.Y. He was also the Food Service Director for the UVM Health Network - Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y.
Snell's latest challenge represents a homecoming of sorts. Snell was an intern at Hotel Saranac in 1992 while attending Paul Smith's College as a culinary student.
"I really enjoyed my time at Hotel Saranac as an intern; it taught me the hospitality business," says Snell, "I am excited just like everyone else in the area to see Hotel Saranac come back to life."
Hotel guests and locals alike can stop by Campfire Adirondack Grill + Bar for high-quality comfort fare with an atmosphere meant to convey the Adirondack spirit, or enjoy creative mixology in the 14th century Palazzo Davanzati-inspired Great Hall Bar.
