The Charter Hotel Seattle Honors Hilton Legacy With Launch of Fred Hutch Partnership During One-Year Anniversary Celebration
The downtown Seattle hotel pays homage to Conrad Hilton’s credo through the ‘Hilton Legacy’ package benefiting the cancer research center
SEATTLE - Today, the Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton announced its new “Hilton Legacy” package in partnership with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to celebrate the downtown Seattle hotel’s one-year anniversary and support the center’s efforts in cancer research, treatment and prevention.
More than 40 years ago, Conrad Hilton left nearly his entire estate to various charities with instructions stating, “Love one another, for that is the whole law; so our fellow men deserve to be loved and encouraged—never to be abandoned to wander alone in poverty and darkness.” Through this new offering, the Charter is not only committing a portion of its profits to Fred Hutch, but allowing guests to take part in Conrad’s vision of filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality.
“Since we opened our doors last August, we have been warmly welcomed by the community through their patronage and support, and now we want to do our part as good neighbors by giving back just as we know our founder would have wanted us to do,” said Sebastien Pfeiffer, General Manager, the Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton. “Located just two miles from us and recognized as a worldwide leader in cancer research, Fred Hutch was an obvious choice.”
Starting at $299, the Hilton Legacy package includes:
- Overnight accomodations
- Two Fred Hutch branded tumblers along with complimentary lattes to go in them, Market Spice tea and a Fred Hutch photobook
- $100 dining credit for the hotel’s on-site food and beverage outlets, including Argentine-inspired restaurant, Patagōn, and rooftop lounge, Fog Room
“In the early days of bone marrow transplantation, people traveled from around the world to Seattle for this life-saving cancer cure,” said Kelly O’Brien, Vice President of Philanthropy, Fred Hutch. “It’s fitting that the Hilton Legacy package, which honors its founder’s charitable vision, supports a new generation of ground-breaking research here. We’re honored to have one of Seattle’s newest hotels raise awareness and funds for Fred Hutch.”
