Conrad Macao raises over MOP 84,000 at Pink Inspired Charity Lunch for Breast Cancer Awareness
MACAO - Conrad Macao, Cotai Central has partnered with the International Ladies Club of Macao for the fourth consecutive year to host a charity lunch as part of the hotel's 2017 "PINK Inspired" October campaign to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. This year the lunch event raised over MOP 84,000 for the campaign thanks to the support of major retail sponsors such as Longines, T Galleria by DFS, Gold Elements, Véuve Clicquot, Élévatione Time Stops, Tuscan's, Ofee, Vine Vera, APM Monaco, Furla, Anteprima and LUV & BART.
Special guests at the lunch included Ms Gloria di Parma, one of the lead dancers from Crazy Horse Paris' Forever Crazy show, popular Hong Kong television actor and doctor Mr. Marcus Kwok who acted as emcee, and author and founder of Miss Tove's English Schools in China Ms. Tove Vine as guest speaker.
Ms. Vine is a Danish/Australian author, philanthropist and English teacher, who at the age of 58, courageously left her comfortable life in Australia to move to China to open English schools for underprivileged children.
There was also a serious side to the lunch with Mrs. Sally Lo from the Hong Kong Cancer Fund talking about the prevalence of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
This year's lunch was attended by more than 250 guests all dressed in various shades of pink, who dined on a special pink themed, three-course lunch menu created by the talented chefs at Conrad Macao, which included a glass of pink Véuve Clicquot Champagne and gift bag.
