The Coburg at Conrad Dublin pays tribute to its neighbour, The Iveagh Gardens, with an equestrian inspired Afternoon Tea for Two
DUBLIN - The team at Conrad Dublin are delighted to introduce their new Coburg Garden Afternoon Tea which will be hosted seven days a week within the contemporary surrounds of The Coburg’s Lounge.
Afternoon Tea at The Coburg is a relaxed affair, where the team guide you through the impressive menu selection. From mid-August until November 18th season they will be serving The Coburg Gardens Afternoon Tea from €38 per person and Champagne Afternoon Tea from €50 per person.
The Afternoon Tea includes a delicious array of freshly baked cakes, pastries and scones as well as gourmet sandwiches, served with freshly brewed tea or coffee. The new menu includes a new equestrian inspired selection of dainty delights, created and prepared by Pastry Chef Brizaida Hernandez including:
Orange and cranberry infused scones
Lemon and Thyme Chocolate Tart
Horseshoe Sablé Breton
With praline mousse
Rhubarb & strawberry gelée
Irish butter and vanilla horse shortbread
Also included is a selection of sandwiches including: Burren smoked salmon, avocado purée, caper berry on Guinness bread; organic cucumber, sun-dried tomato cream cheese on brown bread; free range egg, bound with chive truffle aioli on white bread and Glen of Aherlow baked ham & Emmental cheese on brown bread.
The Iveagh Gardens, once known as the Coburg Gardens was the inspiration for the design of the Brasserie, which pays homage to the former event headquarters of the legendary Royal Horse Bazaar. Materials used include leather, marble, porcelain and brass, which complement the equestrian theme that is subtly woven into banquette seating, mirrors, light fixtures and artwork. Champagne lovers will be enthused by the brasserie’s Champagne table, which allows diners to enjoy elevated views over the restaurant and taste a selection of the finest bubbles including Henriot, the house Champagne.
The Coburg is open daily from 06.30am to 11pm and housed on the ground floor of Conrad Dublin, located in the heart of Dublin City on Earlsfort Terrace. Pre-booking is recommended, available everyday from 2pm-5pm. Subject to availability, location subject to change.
