Conrad Seoul supports the Sharing Campaign in partnership with World Vision
Support sustainable life for low-income families and children through World Vision
SEOUL, South Korea - Conrad Seoul is giving this summer by taking part in a donation campaign in partnership with World Vision, an international relief and development organization, to spread the sharing culture.
The sharing campaign continues to help Conrad Seoul fulfil a long-running commitment to corporate responsibility, enabling local low-income family members and children from under-developed communities around the world to improve upon their environmental and health conditions with the donations collected. Conrad Seoul will continue to promote growth within the communities we operate in and help towards building a sustainable society for all.
Patrons can participate through contributing cash donations at the on-site World Vision credit card station or by donating food to share between communities. The World Vision credit card station, located at the Zest entrance on the 2nd floor, accepts all credit and debit cards, mobile payment applications, and pre-paid traffic cards. Simply touch the card on the payment pad at the station, and KRW 5,000 will be automatically donated. Diners can also offer non-perishable foods by bringing the items to the outlet's collection point. All donated foods must have a shelf life of at least 9 months, and should be worth at least KRW 5,000 per donation.
All monetary donations collected at the card station will go to the Tanzanian village, Mbuga, to provide both adults and children with safer water and improved sanitation in addition to improved education opportunities for children. All the donated food will be given to low-income families living locally near Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
The 'Zest Sharing Wednesday' campaign takes place every Wednesday from July 19th, 2017 at Zest, located on the 2nd floor of Conrad Seoul. Zest offers a 40% discount to encourage patrons to join in on the sharing campaign.
Conrad Seoul has a signed agreement with World Vision to support children's dreams globally. Not only has Conrad Seoul continued with its commitment to having a well-rounded corporate responsibility, but the learning continues with the hotel hosting special lectures about sharing, arranging collection points for items needed by low-income families in Yeongdeungpo-gu, and advocating the clean water project in Mbuga, Tanzania. This campaign is part of a bigger 'Area Development Program' to increase the community's self-reliance through a variety of projects to improve education, clean water and nutrition.
