Conrad Hong Kong Celebrates Earth Hour 2015
HONG KONG - On 28 March 2015 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, Conrad Hong Kong will be observing Earth Hour, an annual initiative created by WWF to raise global awareness of the climate change, by arranging a special lighting setup in the hotel's public areas and restaurants and switching off the Conrad neon sign on the exterior of the building.
To complement the event, there will be an array of activities across the restaurants to demonstrate the hotel's commitment to energy conservation. "Apart from illuminating the restaurants with candlelight, we have taken this meaningful initiative further for a more pleasurable guest experience. The green statement has also been shared to all team members for living sustainably" said Thomas Hoeborn, general manager, Conrad Hong Kong.
Restaurants throughout the hotel will be illuminated with candlelight while flambé dessert menus including flambé crêpe suzette, strawberry will be available at Brasserie on the Eighth and Nicholini's for one night only. Garden Café Terrace, the newly unveiled alfresco drinking spot, is toasting the lights-out initiative with a specially created Earth Hour cocktail - Green Delight, a rum based cocktail with midori, sprite and lemon zest.
