Conrad Centennial Singapore Appoints David Laval as Executive Chef
SIGNAPORE - Conrad Centennial Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of David Laval as the hotel's new Executive Chef. Laval will oversee Conrad Centennial Singapore's entire culinary operations, catering and banquet, in-room dining service, as well as restaurants including Oscar's, Golden Peony, Lobby Lounge and The Terrace. The globetrotter boasts of an accomplished culinary background in luxury hospitality that includes positions in Conrad Bali, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island and Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay; as well as the kitchens of renowned hotels and resorts around the world in cities such as Sydney, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and exotic destinations such as the Bermuda, the Mauritius and Seychelles.

Laval brings over 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to Conrad Centennial Singapore. Most recently, he served as Director of Food & Beverage and Culinary Operations in Conrad Bali. Prior, he was the Executive Chef at Conrad Maldives, before joining the pre-opening team for the first Conrad hotel in China, Conrad Sanya. Laval's passion for cooking led him to Australia at the age of 16 to pursue his career, and he has since been travelling around the world to expand his culinary knowledge and experience. Laval is a member of L'Académie Culinaire de France and the prestigious Association 'Les Disciples d'Auguste Escoffier'. He is also a member of the Association Culinaire Française in London.

Laval will be working closely with his team to launch new innovative ideas throughout the restaurants, including a new in-room dining menu; as well as putting his creative touch into the takeaway items at The Terrace, and redefine the high tea at the Lobby Lounge. Conrad Centennial Singapore will also be launching new catering menus to showcase
Laval's contemporary and artistic culinary style.
