Brewing up a St. Patrick’s Day Green Storm at Conrad Dublin
DUBLIN - It doesn’t matter if you’re Irish or Irish for the day, all are welcome to stay or visit Conrad Dublin which will celebrate Ireland’s national saint with style and panache from March 12-19.
“Kiss me, I’m Irish;” lucky leprechauns; green pints; snake chasing; dancing at the crossroads; shamrock shakes; “the craic was mighty” - it can only be March 17, when the world turns Irish for a day. At Conrad Dublin, located in the heart of the capital city, every day is truly Irish.
St. Patrick’s Day is our favourite holiday in Dublin, and we are excited to share it with guests staying at the hotel through our exclusive partnership with Teeling Whiskey and on-property activations,” said Martin Mangan, General Manager of Conrad Dublin. “We want visitors to experience the day with a true Irish perspective, whether it is with a sip of local whiskey, a peek at a hidden gem or by cheering for our favourite sports team.
This St. Patrick’s Day escape the plastic shamrocks, shillelaghs and shenanigans and head to Conrad Dublin for some authentic five-star Irish hospitality. Fresh shamrocks will be available throughout the hotel so guests can grab a bunch and pin it to their coat collars as traditionally worn. For the St. Patrick’s Day warriors, over breakfast a face painter will be available to draw shamrocks and Irish flags on the little faces and not-so-little faces!
Meander around Dublin with proud Dubliner Liam, Conrad Dublin’s Guest Relations Manager, with a free 45-minute walking tour (one per day) for guests on the week of the St Patrick’s Day Festival. He will help guests explore his home turf and share its rich history, stories and things that only a true Dubliner knows! With secure on-site parking, an overnight at Conrad Dublin is an easy experience to navigate and within walking distance of the LUAS, and with many Dublin bus routes servicing the area, it really is an ideal centre base for exploring our wonderful city. Weekend packages available from €304 (based on two adults sharing), including breakfast and secure underground parking.
Non-hotel residents can escape the craziness, too, by heading to Lemuel’s or the Coburg Brasserie for some amazing food, drink and service. Drop in diners and visitors alike can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner daily at the Coburg Brasserie, which features incredible fresh Irish produce. These ingredients, the freshest of the fresh, are brought together with culinary passion to produce seasonal dishes packed full of flavour and goodness.
St. Patrick’s Day sees the final games of the Six Nations Rugby Tournament, and if you fancy watching the match in a nice, civilized city-centre environment, grab a seat at Lemuel’s or Alfie’s to enjoy the game. Lemuel’s is a sophisticated bar offering new world wines, innovative cocktails crafted by our mixologists, fine food and elegant afternoon teas with influences from around the globe. On St. Patrick’s Day the Lemuel’s will be serving a special “A Long Way To Tipperary” Cocktail, a deliciously decadent tipple with Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey, Longueville Irish Apple Brandy, Bay-infused Lillet, Wild Sloe Berry Bitters all stirred and served on the “rock,” a large hand-chipped ice block.
For a traditional Irish bar experience head to Alfie Byrne's by Galway Bay Brewery offering up to 33 craft beers on draught, all made within the United States and Ireland and produced on a small scale to ensure authenticity, along with more than 30 American and Irish whiskeys. Take a seat on our terrace and enjoy dining al fresco with great views of the National Concert Hall.
Hotel residents can also watch the game in the exclusive Six Nations pop-up lounge in the Iveagh suite on the LG 98” 4K professional monitor.
