Conrad Macao Facebook Fan Wins Luxury Stay Just By Uploading a #Travelbear photo
MACAO - Conrad Macao Facebook Fan from Hong Kong has won a luxurious two-night stay in the Presidential Suite including breakfast valued at MOP62,000 just by uploading a photo of a Conrad Macao Bear to her Facebook page and #Travelbear and tagging Conrad Macao Cotai Central Facebook Page. The winning photo was taken against the backdrop of The Peak, Hong Kong. The winning photo featured a bear from each of Conrad Macao's collection of bears since the hotel opened in 2012.
Throughout August, Conrad Macao, Cotai Central invited fans to win a free luxury Macao getaway; all they had to do was upload a photo of one of the hotel's signature bears at an iconic world famous landmark to their Facebook timeline. All photos needed to have #TravelBear and also tag Conrad Macao Facebook.
The campaign was a great success and reached more than 853,830 fans, 305,696 likes and 186 shares.
Conrad Macao's collection of signature bears have become collectors' items since the hotel first opened in April 2012. In addition to the signature gold bear that guests receive when they stay at the hotel, there is also an exclusive collection of four bears that is produced every year; this year's collection includes a Chinese New Year Bear, Earth Day Bear, the 'Plush for Pink' bear in October to support Breast Cancer awareness, and in December, a spectacular sparkly bear just in time for Christmas.
"We were overwhelmed by the response to our #Travelbear campaign. Our bear travelled the world and popped up in front of iconic world landmarks in London, Paris, Australia, USA, Brussels, Greece, Italy, Dubai, Russia and Egypt. We knew our hotel guests were world travellers and now we know our Conrad bears are as well; we will certainly continue the campaign in 2016 to see where he visits next," said general manager, Bede Barry.
Photos were judged by a team of hotel executives based upon the creativity of the photo, along with the number of shares and likes it received on Facebook.
