Canopy by Hilton Unveils “First Look” of its Inaugural Property in Texas
Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown Brings Modern Hotel Accommodations and a Rooftop Lounge to Vibrant West Village Neighborhood
DALLAS, Texas and MCLEAN, Va. - Today, Canopy by Hilton, Hilton’s (NYSE: HLT) lifestyle hotel brand, revealed the first look inside the brand’s newest Texas property, Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown. Scheduled to open in late June 2018, Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown’s 150 “Just Right” rooms will offer a modern hotel experience in Dallas’ most walkable district featuring more than 100 shops, restaurants and entertainment. With Canopy by Hilton’s emphasis on neighborhood offerings and thoughtfully local choices, Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will tell the story of the Uptown district throughout the hotel including artwork, vintage bricks from McKinney Avenue and a refurbished piece of the M-Line Trolley.

Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown is owned and developed through the Dallas-based company, The Javelin Group and managed by Dallas-based Aimbridge Hospitality.

Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will feature guestrooms that blend modern, residential style with the vintage character of McKinney Avenue. Each guestroom, many with views of downtown, features warm, comforting tones and convenient amenities such as handcrafted furniture, cooling mattresses, sliding barn doors, Nespresso® machines and Canopy by Hilton’s uncloseted closets that provide an open storage system to simplify packing and unpacking. Two suites – aptly named Travis and Cole – start at 830-square-feet and offer separate living areas, balconies and upgraded furnishings.
Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will feature 3,500 square feet of flexible event space with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Dallas skyline, ideal for corporate events, private parties or weddings.
Food & Drink from the Neighborhood
A rooftop lounge, Upside, will be a destination for guests and locals alike. With stunning views of downtown Dallas, Upside will offer a vast mixology program including craft and local beers, high-end wine and creative cocktails. The food menu will include small bites and shared plates, ranging from gulf crab and avocado lettuce wraps to bacon-wrapped quail legs. Upside will have a separate entrance from the hotel and will be open from 4:00 p.m. to midnight daily.
Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will also feature Canopy Central Cafe, a European-style café serving artisanal food with locally sourced ingredients and a fast-casual service element. Located in the energetic lobby space, Canopy Central Cafe is open for artisan-style breakfast, included in the guests’ stay, and transitions to an all-day lunch and dinner menu and full-service cocktail lounge. Notable menu items include freshly made smoothies, breakfast tacos, local pastries, open-faced sandwiches and unique salads such as the Smoked Brisket Salad.
For guests on the go, Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will offer “Break Fast” bags, delivered to guestrooms each morning, with a variety of local, fresh fruits, granola, yogurt and pastries.
Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown will be the latest property to participate in the brand’s Paws in the Neighborhood initiative making the property an ideal destination for dog lovers. Paws in the Neighborhood is a partnership with Planet Dog, the leading manufacturer of eco-friendly, innovative premium pet products that allows guests to share energizing, comfortable stays with their canines. Each four-legged guest will receive a Just-Right dog bed and a “Paws in the Neighborhood Welcome Gift” which includes a Planet Dog Orbee ball, a locally-sourced dog treat, dispenser of pickup bags, eco-friendly, fleece-lined leash and collar and a 24-hour pass to Mutts Canine Cantina located across from the hotel.
At check in, guests will receive pastries from Bisous Bisous, a welcome gift from the hotel team that represents the Dallas Uptown neighborhood. Additionally, guests will enjoy nightly evening tastings in Canopy Central featuring local brews from Deep Ellum Brewery, Community Brewery and Lakewood Brewery. Guests can also tap Canopy Enthusiasts – or local experts – for their local know-how such as recommendations on the best restaurants and excursions in the neighborhood.
