Couples Bet on Love as Microweddings Trend Continues into 2021
Hilton spotlights package offers ahead of engagement season
Alongside “unprecedented,” the term “microweddings” made its way onto wedding calendars and into wedding plans in a big way in 2020. The trend has been embraced by couples who are still looking to hold wedding ceremonies during the pandemic with fewer guests, making for an intimate and memorable experience.
With engagement season quickly approaching and 2021 becoming “the year of the wedding” several Hilton properties are offering unique microwedding packages, providing couples with an array of options to celebrate their special day.
Backed by the recently-launched Hilton EventReady with CleanStay, highlighted packages include:
Lovebirds can enjoy a two-night stay in the hotel’s Villa Suite with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Las Vegas Boulevard and City Center, a welcome bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, an intimate wedding ceremony in the couples’ Villa Suite and a licensed officiant. The package also includes a professional photographer, choice of a honeymoon cabana* or high tea for two in the stylish Tea Lounge, round-trip luxury transportation to the Clark County Marriage License Bureau and two embroidered face masks. *Seasonal offering
Enamored guests can book the microwedding package at Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe for an intimate experience that includes personalized guest placement cards guided by decorative signage; personalized base plates; exquisite glassware and wedding decor, including matching table linens and napkins; and more. This package also invites couples to create a custom menu and tasting pairing conducted by a Certified Sommelier, along with a special gift of a personalized wine set.
Featuring three intimate ceremony packages, couples can select from options that address photography, varying guest sizes, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, champagne and even a wedding officiant. Each package may be paired with a “marry now, party later” special for couples who want to host a larger celebration once restrictions are lifted.
The packages are also available to book at the nearby Casa Marina Key West, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and rates may vary.
Couples set on making their dream destination wedding come true can book Hilton Bogota’s Petite Weddings package. The offering includes a private room or terrace to host the intimate event, wedding cake, three-course menu and sparkling wine to toast the occasion. Flowers, bridal bouquet and room entrance decor are also included. Couples can also spend the night with one of the hotel’s romantic suite packages, as well as reserve guest rooms for their attendees at a special discount.
Couples looking for a slightly larger, but quaint microwedding can book Conrad Indianapolis’ Intimate Wedding Package. With the wedding ceremony being held in the South Foyer and dinner and dancing in the Vienna Ballroom (where those who are looking to get their boogie on can enjoy a spacious dance floor up to 30 x 30), the newlyweds and their guests will be engulfed in the hotel’s sophisticated elegance. Package inclusions are a one-night stay in the Corner King Honeymoon Suite, room upgrade or standard room for the couple’s parents. Table numbers, floor length ivory linens and napkins as well as personalized menu cards are also included to complement the synchronized dinner service.
Perfect for intimate weddings in the heart of downtown Manhattan, the hotel’s microwedding package features one night in a Luxury Suite (with a 12 p.m. check-in, 6 p.m. check-out the following day), welcome amenity featuring a bottle of wine and Sugarfina amenity, in-room minifridge, wedding set-up in room (two directors chairs, full length mirror and steamer) and access to a specialty in-room wedding dining menu. For the ceremony (with seating available upon request), couples will enjoy the space for up to two hours with additional time for their own set-up and access to a complimentary photographer who will capture images from their special day. As an added perk, couples who would like to book their microwedding with the hotel now and celebrate later with a larger wedding celebration – when NYC regulations permit – will receive full access to a selection of enhancements for their special day.
Lovers can book their wedding ceremony at a discounted rate at Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The special ceremony rate includes a minimum room block of 10 guest rooms, venue rental and an audio package. Additionally, complimentary parking and discounted room upgrades are available for guests within the room block. To sweeten the deal, couples may upgrade to a suite or opt for a discounted standard room with a champagne amenity to salute an evening of love.
To make the wedding planning journey seamless, The Drake Hotel offers a quintessential wedding room block package to truly unite both sides of the family with special accommodations marked by 100 years of distinguished service along The Magnificent Mile. Thoughtful inclusions, which can be further tailored, bring the little extras that are so often overlooked front and center for the wedding attendees as well as the wedding consultant.
