Through a brand-wide partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Tru by Hilton aims to make a positive impact on the local community while aligning with Hilton’s corporate responsibility strategy, Travel with Purpose, in which the company is committed to doubling its investment in social impact and youth opportunity programs by 2030. The partnership will help youth find their Tru purpose, teach hospitality and career preparation skills, and form lasting relationships for future support and guidance.
This partnership emphasizes career development programs such as job shadowing, mock interviews, mentoring and much more, furthering Hilton’s Open Doors commitment, which has led to the company to connecting, preparing or employing more than 900,000 youth to date.
Tru by Hilton launched its partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America during the brand’s 50th hotel celebration in late 2018, where Club members participated in some friendly CONNECT 4® competition on oversized boards, laughed with celebrity host Lance Bass, enjoyed a behind the scenes hotel tour, and received a donation of more than 150 board games.
