As a barista at Hilton West Palm Beach's Provisions marketplace, Melissa Scott greets Guests and Team Members* with excitement and warmth throughout her morning shift which starts at 6 a.m. A trademark of her hospitality and a pleasant surprise for her Guests are the motivational notes she writes on their coffee cups or receipts. She is frequently highlighted in positive SALT and TripAdvisor reviews for delivering genuine hospitality and heartfelt experiences.

Melissa is also an innovator and takes initiative by finding ways to make Guests' experiences easier - from reducing wait times to finding better ways to organize food and merchandise displays. Having worked with the hotel since its opening in January 2016, Melissa serves as a teacher and mentor to new hires in Provisions.

Melissa's passion for hospitality goes beyond her work at Hilton West Palm Beach. She also works as a nurse assistant at a local Palm Beach hospital and volunteers at a community organization for individuals who suffer from depression, coordinating support groups. In some cases, she has even opened her home to people in need, offering room and board and most importantly - friendship.

The thoughtful service Melissa delivers every day has left a positive impact on everyone around her - her daughter and son who attend college in Gainesville, Florida, Guests and Owners of Hilton West Palm Beach, fellow Team Members for whom she cares deeply and the local Community. By bringing our Purpose to life, Melissa has inspired other Team Members at the hotel to deliver exceptional hospitality, knowing that a note or simply a smile can make a great impact on someone's day.
