New Hampton Inn Opens in Iowa City

93-room property brings Hamptonality to Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Hampton Hotels, the global brand of nearly 1,900 mid-priced Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Hampton by Hilton hotels, today announced the official opening of its newest property, the 93-room Hampton Inn Iowa City/University Area located at 4 Sturgis Corner Drive.

The Hampton Inn Iowa City/University Area, which is owned by Ravi Lodging Inc. and managed by Hawkeye Hotels, Inc.,  potentially set a new record for Hampton Hotels and Hilton Worldwide as the most quickly constructed hotel, built in just 131 days. It is the second Hampton property in Iowa City, ahead of one more Hampton hotel slated to be opened in Iowa and more than 250 Hampton properties in the pipeline in the U.S.
