Hilton Worldwide Exceeds Guest Expectations with 2015 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Awards

Presented to properties that consistently achieve great traveler reviews, Hilton Worldwide takes home 3,338 certificates

MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) is proud to announce that 3,338 of its 4,350 properties (more than 75% of the entire portfolio of hotels) received a prestigious 2015 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence, an award presented to businesses in the hospitality industry that consistently receive outstanding guest reviews on TripAdvisor®. Eleven brands within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio were honored, with 843 properties receiving the Hall of Fame acknowledgement, recognizing hotels that have received a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. Furthermore, 27% of Hilton Worldwide properties are ranked #1 in TripAdvisor in their markets.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business's tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site.  To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
