Hilton Announces Creation of Global Enterprise Data & Analytics Center of Excellence
Dak Liyanearachchi to Lead as Newly Appointed Chief Data & Analytics Officer
MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the creation of a new center of excellence for data & analytics, which will be led by Dak Liyanearachchi who recently joined the company, as Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO). As CDAO, Liyanearachchi will be responsible for building on Hilton's existing data and analytics expertise to create a hub of advanced analytics and actionable insights. Liyanearachchi will report directly to Chris Silcock, Executive Vice President of Commercial Services.
Dak has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and has worked across multiple disciplines and industries. In his most recent role as EVP and Chief Data Officer at Catalina Marketing Corporation, he was responsible for one of the world's largest consumer behaviour databases. Prior to that, Dak was at Dunhumby where he held several leadership positons. In these roles, Dak served clients such as Kroger, Tesco and Coca-Cola.

A native of the United Kingdom, Dak holds a bachelor's degree in computing and information systems. He also serves on the Gartner CDO Advisory Board.
