Kay Jackson

Meet Kay Jackson‍, Maintenance Manager at Hilton Northampton.

The Story

Kay left the world of interior design to join the hotel 18 years ago. Throughout her impressive tenure, she moved her way around the hotel and learned many things from each department she served. In her current role, she has helped to gain recognition for the hotel with sustainability efforts by saving $80,000 in maintenance and energy costs as well as earning Green Hotel of the Year.

Considered a "Government Trailblazer", Kay has helped write the National Apprenticeship guide for Maintenance careers in the UK and was asked to develop a training guide for Hilton Engineering departments. Her impact is far-reaching, as she's trained 20 Duty Managers on property and over 720 have participated in the online course.

Going above and beyond, she's taken her caring nature to the streets and rallied other Team Members to support her community outreach initiatives. Whether organizing a team to distribute 27,000 packets for "Drowning Prevention Week", coordinating Team Members to help support the Hope Centre with hot lunches and Bingo, or working with Community members in need to help them build their resumes and job experience, Kay is a true superstar.

Kay was recently named a 2017 CEO Light & Warmth Award winner and her efforts to demonstrate Hilton's Values and Purpose are what make Hilton the most hospitable company in the world.
