How to Use Your Hilton Honors Points for Amazing Summer Concerts
The dog days of summer are in full swing, which means it’s time for our favorite outdoor activity: summer concerts. Hilton Honors has expanded its partnership with Live Nation for its first-ever Lawn Days Concert Series, giving Hilton Honors members access to tickets to concerts all around the U.S. for Points earned during Hilton stays.
If you’ve stayed at one of Hilton’s 14 brands as a Hilton Honors member, there’s a good chance you might have 10,000 points in your Hilton Honors account. That’s all it takes to score a pair of tickets to see chart-topping artists all summer long! And here’s how to make Hilton Honors Lawn Days even more fun: Don’t go to the concert without reading Billboard music expert Chelsea Briggs’ top five tips to rock your summer concert experience.
1. Early Arrival is Key
In my opinion, you can never get to a concert too early! Venues typically allow fans to enter about 90 minutes before the show starts so if you want the best spot on the lawn, I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the gates open. This gives you plenty of time to address my next tip…go eat!
2. No Need to Skip Dinner
Most venues don’t allow you to bring picnic-style meals inside, but lots of concerts take place during dinnertime, allowing the perfect opportunity to host a tailgate. I like to use Pinterest to find recipes that go beyond the typical tailgate offerings. If you can’t tailgate either, I’m all about embracing the venue’s food offerings and indulging. Cheese dip and chicken wings? Yes, please!
3. What to Wear
Concerts are the perfect opportunity to take a risk and have some fun with your style. I like dressing to match the genre of music or testing out accessories I wouldn’t wear as part of my everyday wardrobe. It’s important to find a balance between comfort and style, so test out your outfit a few days in advance to ensure you’re comfortable sitting down on the lawn, as well as dancing the night away.
4. How to Capture the Moment
You don’t want to be the concert-goer who’s watching the concert through their phone screen. Taking quality photos of an artist on stage can also be challenging. I like to let the professional photographers capture photos and videos of the artists, but I still make sure to snap a few shots with my friends to remember each show I attend.
5. Don’t Wait to Get Your Tickets
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve waited too long to buy tickets to see my favorite artist only to learn they had sold out, or a friend didn’t get their tickets in time and missed the show. To avoid this, I set calendar notifications to remind me when tickets go on sale and I always buy at least two, so I never have to see a show alone. You can even treat your BFF to a summer concert – for only 10,000 Points a pair, it’s the perfect way to see a concert without spending a dime.
Below are just a few of the great venues where you can still get Lawn Days concert tickets this summer – but there are many more! Check out a full list of cities and concerts here.
