LONDON - In celebration of London Hilton on Park Lane's Emmanuel Bonneau and Sam Leatherby’s outstanding achievements at this year’s Bake Off: The Professionals, the prestigious Mayfair hotel on Park Lane is launching an Afternoon Tea inspired by the pair’s journey though the competition.
From viennoiserie and croquembouche to stunning chocolate and sugar showpieces, London Hilton on Park Lane’s pastry chefs triumphed continuously during 10 weeks of intense, sweet but tough challenges to be crowned Bake Off: The Professionals winners. Impressing the judges with their precision, passion and patisserie knowledge, the chef’s creations inspired by their time on the show will be available to taste at the exclusive Afternoon Tea.
Showcasing a range of desserts demonstrating a variety of techniques and their extensive talent, the jaw-dropping Afternoon Tea is available in the stylish and tranquil Podium Restaurant & Bar.
Served on a chocolate plate, the black forest gateaux deconstruction will tingle diners’ taste buds. An interpretation of miniature classics such as a passion fruit and strawberry fruit tart must be tasted to be believed. Served in between two golden shortbread biscuits and finished with fresh berries, mango jelly, passion fruit seeds and topped with a red chocolate feather and golden leaf, the pastries demonstrate outstanding skill and expertise.
London Hilton on Park Lane’s contemporary adaptation of a traditional Praline roulade will take pride of place. Consisting of hazel nut dacquoise and praline with a mandarin jelly centre the delicate treat will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Recalling Emmanuel’s favourite childhood pastry memories, the celebration tea will include irresistible caramelised banana milk chocolate macaroons, as well as an ambitious show stopping three-tiered Pina Colada cheesecake.
