DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs Opens New Restaurant – Saltbush
ALICE SPRINGS, Northern Territory - DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs has opened its new, signature restaurant, Saltbush. The name celebrates the salty outback shrub, which is abundant in Alice Springs and one of Australia’s favourite bush foods.
Saltbush offers contemporary Australian dining, featuring fresh seasonal produce and unique Australian bush food as the foundation of its innovative menu. Signature dishes on the menu include crusted lamb rack with potato fondant, braised leek and merlot glaze, free-range chicken breast with textures of corn and lemon myrtle butter and a whole-baked Northern Territory baby barramundi with a tamarind glaze.
“The menu is designed to both please and surprise,” said Kevin Garcia, executive chef, Saltbush, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs. “We want to take people on a culinary journey by serving familiar classic Australian dishes and then elevating them to something unexpected.”
“The concept of Saltbush was born out of a desire to provide our hotel guests and the local community with a new and exciting dining experience that uniquely reflects Alice Springs,” said Todd Grierson, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.
The restaurant features three private dining areas that are perfect for entertaining, and will soon offer a special monthly event calendar, including Yum Cha on Saturdays and brunch on Sundays.
Saltbush restaurant is located at DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
